Phil Moore’s Story
Phil is originally from Ballymena in Northern Ireland and grew up playing Golf at Ballymena Golf Club. Then proceeded to turn Professional at the age of 21 and worked firstly at the Johnny Foster Golf Academy as an Assistant Teaching Professional. He then proceeded to join Cleobury Mortimer GC as the Head Professional before moving on Murcar Links GC in Aberdeen, Scotland to develop the Junior Academy and Coaching Programs. Then Phil’s ambitions got the better of him and he accepted the exciting opportunity to be Head Professional at Safaa Golf Club in Saudi Arabia at the King Abdulla University of Science & Technology in Jeddah.
Phil was interested in this opportunity at Pun Hlaing as soon as the position was advertised and he joins the team with over 13 years of International coaching experience. He has vast experience in developing players of all abilities; from Grass roots Juniors and beginner Golfers to high level amateur players.
Phil graduated from the University of Birmingham with a degree in Applied Golf Management Studies in 2013, and has continued his personal development since his degree. He most notably become a TPI Certified Instructor, a Swing Catalyst Level 2 Instructor and a US Kids Certified Coach. Also furthered his coaching knowledge by working with European Tour Coaches, critically acclaimed Junior Coaches, Psychologists and Physical Trainers.
Phil has extensive experience in developing Junior Academies, having achieved success in the UK and Saudi Arabia. This combined with an extensive Schools Coaching Program lead Phil to be nominated for Coach of the Year with Sport Aberdeen in 2017.
