COVID-19 Update and Measurements

Updated: Sep 12, 2020

Dear Members,

I would like to provide you with new temporary protocols that will be effective from Monday 14th September as confirmed positive cases of Covid19 in Yangon are on a sharp increase and therefore we feel appropriate action must be taken for the safety of all members, guests and our staff.

  • ALL Golfers should call or email to book, please refrain from booking at reception in person.

  • All golfers names and a contact number will be required to be able to enter the Estate for potential contact tracing purposes.

  • Members should head straight to the starter hut and pay for the caddie/buggy fee at that point. NOTE: Advanced payments can be made, whereby PHGC shall administer an inventory record of games against the deposited amount.

  • Guests & Visitors may check-in as normal @ Golf reception in Awei Metta.

  • Kiosks @ hole 1 & 10 will resume as normal for takeaway F&B only.

  • Our Golf Operation staff will be divided in to two Teams (A & B) to work 1 week on 1 week off, alternating. So our normal operation services may be slightly disrupted.

  • Caddie 1:1 service will again be suspended and reduced to 2 Caddies per group for maintenance only and following approx. 50 yards behind. Please refrain from requesting caddies to assist during this sensitive time. The temporary caddie fee will be MMK 7,500 net including a trolley. We aim to bring the caddie service back as soon as MOHS gain greater control of the rise in C19 cases and take this precaution as many caddies live outside of PHE. Therefore, caddies will not be available for bookings.

  • Staff will wear a mask & gloves at all times when unable to be socially distant. Carts & Trolleys will be disinfected before & after use.

  • Regularly temperature checks shall continue at various points and anyone with a high fever temperature or symptoms shall be requested to leave the property and seek medical help.

We shall aim to return back to normal services ASAP once it is safe for us to do so.

I would also like to provide you with the latest actions related to COVID-19 precaution and actions from Pun Hlaing Estate (PHE).

Statement from Pun Hlaing Estate:

Please remain safe and smart during this period keeping the best hygiene at all times. Thank you for your continued support at this challenging time.
